If you want to be able to repair or service your sewing machine or overlocker without the need to call on the services of engineers , we
can help.
We have been conducting sewing machine repair courses for many years and structure them all in a simple to understand stepping
system format.
WHERE ARE THE COURSES RUN
We have our own training centre based in Surrey . This Is located midway between Reigate and Gatwick.
WHO WILL TEACH ME
Our instructors have many years of repair and service experience on both domestic and industrial sewing machines.
WHO WOULD THE COURSE SUIT
These are usually directed towards schools and colleges who have technicians and tutors who need to maintain domestic sewing
machines on a day to day basis and would like to be able to make more complex repairs that occur from time to time.
HOW LONG IS THE COURSE
Courses are normally run for 2 days at our training centre with very much and hands on pro active approach.
WHAT WILL I LEARN on TECH2
Firstly, you must have successfully completed TECH1.
You will recap some of the subjects covered in TECH1 followed by a number of live repairs. If you are working with a mix of front load
bobbin case and top load bobbins versions you will be taught how to retime both versions. Check and reset a stitch pattern control
cam stack,Re align the needlebar rock frame. Reset the tension control unit and retime the thread check spring… and much more.
Hands on tests as well as 2 written tests will need to be successfully completed to be awarded TECH2 certificate of achievement.
WHAT WILL I NEED ON THE COURSE
All machines, tools and manuals are provided for the duration of the course.
You can bring one machine of your own if you want and writing materials.
TESTS
There will be a number of practical tests during the training and a final 2 written tests .
CERTIFICATES
All students who successfully pass all tests carried on the course will be awarded a certificate of achievement .
